Board Member Carlos P. Bua is a humble public servant whose desire in life is to be a part of the progress and economic growth of the province A modest craving of a dreamer, a young solon from Libjo is a catalyst of change, a political leader seasoned with hardship, perseverance and love of God and humanity.


He has the blood of being a politician. His father was a former Barangay Kagawad of Barangay Garcia, in the Municipality of Libjo, and his mother is a business woman and al so a politician.


Carlos set foot his first political career as Barangay SK Councilor in Garcia, Libjo in July, 1997 to June, 1999. The SK Chairman vacated his position and he assumed the office to serve the remaining term in 1999 to 2000.


His mother, Lucita P. Bua, became a Barangay Kagawad in Garcia in July 2002 to June 2005. And, in 2008 to 2010 he alleviates his political position to Barangay Kagawad at the same time working as Account Officer at Surigao Rural Banking Corporation (SRBC), but he did not end his term because he run in the local election for sangguniang bayan member and won.


He bequeathed his position in SRBC and focused on his political career for public service in the sangguniang bayan in 2010 to 2019. His noble cause to help the people of Dinagat Islands and be part of development in the province opted him to run for Sangguniang Panlalawigan member in District 1 where he garnered majority vote to set in SP position in 2019.


Board Member Bua is not now freely and able to share his knowledge in legislation for the pursuance of progress especially in the infrastructure sector to help transform Dinagat islands as a mineral reserved land into tourism inspired province.


His first year in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, he was able to advocate the conservation and protection of the watershed area in the Municipality of Libjo, and assisted in the pursuance of Barangay Boundary Dispute Settlement Program.
