Board Member Absalon C. Colandog

A man with integrity, passion and dedication, Board Member Absalon C. Colandog, President, Philippine Councilors League (PCL), Dinagat Islands Chapter, was once a youth fighter for labor movement in Manila sometime in 1986.
His advocacy engraved in his heart on labor justice and economic freedom coasted him with chances and opportunities on labor consultancy where labor unions cry for minimum pay standards on salaries and wages.
In 2004, he became a Sangguniang BayanMember in the Municipality of Loreto and introduced numerous measures related to environment and labor standard.
His proposition that all beaches in the Municipality of Loreto will be reserve for tourism was put to delusion and controversy among beach owners and legislators that resulted to distrust and uncertainty of his political career.
He authored another controversial ordinance prohibiting the washing of mining ores that catches the attention to mining companies operating within the municipality.
After his political defeat, in 2016 he run again and won in the sangguniang bayan position. He was then elected as the Secretary General of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL).
In 2019, he won in the political battle for presidency of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) against SB Member Allan II B. Ecleo, of the Municipality of San Jose.
